Hoover Dam
Hoover Dam was constructed between 1931 and 1936 to provide flood control and a source of water (Lake Mead) for three US states and parts of Mexico. When I visited in April 2025, Lake Mead’s water level was at 33% capacity. The lake level ended 2025 on an upswing, a promising sign.
